PPGI (Pre-Painted Galvanized Iron/Steel)


PPGI refers to steel sheets coated with a layer of zinc (galvanization) followed by a protective polymer paint layer. The zinc coating acts as a sacrificial barrier, preventing corrosion by oxidizing preferentially to the underlying steel. This material is widely used in construction, automotive parts, and household appliances due to its balance of cost, durability, and aesthetic flexibility.

PPGL (Pre-Painted Galvalume Steel)
PPGL, on the other hand, uses a galvalume coating—a blend of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. The aluminum-zinc alloy forms a denser, more adherent protective layer compared to pure zinc, offering superior corrosion resistance, especially in humid or saline environments. Like PPGI, PPGL is topped with a polymer paint layer for enhanced aesthetics and durability.
