Steel coil roof tiles are popular in terms of strength, low-cost and fast installation for developers. But, as with all roofing materials, they do require some maintenance and some repair to maintain and protect the roofing from the elements and last the long-term. 

Regular Inspection. Frequency.：Inspect each of your roof sheets visually, ideally at least twice a year (greatly preferred once in the spring and once in the fall). Algae and Moss Removal: In the case of algae or moss forming and mildew growth on the roof, a solution of bleach and water (1 part bleach to 3 parts water) can be applied. You can perform that in the area in which you have touched, and let that sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Wet under a soft-bristled brush and wash very carefully with clean water. Safeguard any neighboring plants or landscaping from bleach solution. Repairing Minor Damage. 

Rust Spots. Surface Preparation: Use a wire brush or sandpaper to peel away the rust from the location. And, when you go there, remove all rust until you are left with an uncovered area free of iron as well as bare metal. Use a Primer: Add a rust-inhibiting primer to the clean surface of the area. Doing so will keep further rust at bay and provide a reasonable foundation for paint.

 Dry: Once the primer is dry paint a surface consistent with existing roof. Buying good quality, weather-resistant paint; a material that withstands extreme weather. Professional Inspection. Regular self-inspection is not sufficient, and it is also recommended that you have a professional roofing contractor inspect your steel coil roof tiles once every few years.
